Kennedale
is located in the northeast region of Texas. The climate is four seasons with hot summer temperatures and chilly winter nights. Nighttime lows in the winter in Kennedale can reach 25 degrees. Summer days are quite warm. Most of the state of Texas has a Modified Marine climate, which is classified and named "Subtropical," with four subheadings. A marine climate is caused by the predominant onshore flow of tropical maritime air from the Gulf of Mexico. The onshore flow is modified by a decrease in moisture content from east to west and by intermittent seasonal intrusions of continental air. The four subheadings of Subtropical are: Humid, Sub-Humid, Semi-Arid, and Arid. Kennedale falls into the “Subtropcal Subhumid” region of Texas and is characterized by hot summers and dry winters.
